Latest Observations
Medium resolution composite image of the Moon waxing just past half on April 13th, 2008. Image taken using a Meade 10" SCT telescope on a motorized LXD75 mount. Camera: Logitech QuickCam Pro 4000 (modified) at prime focus. An f/6.3 focal reducer was also used. Composite of eighteen 320x200 images.

By combining these smaller, low res images, I could create a medium sized (1000px x 1000px) image that has a good level of detail. My next lunar project (likely tomorrow night, pending weather) will be to repeat this task, but to use the full 1.3 megapixel capability of the QuickCam's CCD chip. This should result in a final image that is over 3000px x 3000px - much higher resolution with much higher detail.
